1. I just signed up as a Café Club Member. What happens next?

Once your membership is activated, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with your billing/shipping information. (Should you notice any errors, please contact us immediately using our secure form so that we can make the necessary changes.) Your membership will begin with the current month's kit, unless we are sold out. If we are sold out, your membership will begin with the following month's kit.

2. How long does my Café Club Membership last?

Our Café Club is a no-commitment club. There is no minimum number of kits are required to purchase, and your membership remains in effect until you cancel it. If you sign up for a Cafe Club or a Doubleshot Club Membership and elect to cancel after only receiving one kit, then you will be charged the difference between the member price that you were originally charged and the one-time purchase price.

FOR PREPAID MEMBERSHIPS: If you choose our Prepaid Café Club Membership option when signing up and elect to prepay for a 3 month or 6 month membership up front, your Café Club membership will automatically convert to our month-to-month Café Club membership at the end of the your prepaid term. If you do not wish to continue your Café Club membership on a month-to-month basis, you can e-mail us at any time during your prepaid term to let us know. (As a THANK YOU for prepaying, all Prepaid Memberships will receive (2) FREE Layout Kits for 6-month prepaid membership and (1) FREE Layout Kit for 3-month prepaid membership in their first prepaid kit shipment!)

3. How do I update my shipping/billing information?

You can contact us via our secure form. We do our best to respond to all communications in a timely manner.

4. On what day is my credit card billed each month?

Members are billed each month on the 4th. If you sign up for a membership after the 4th, your credit card will be billed and your kit will generally ship within 2-5 business days.

5. What day does the monthly “Flavors of the Month” kit ship out?

We begin shipping monthly kits out on the 6th of the month (or the first business day thereafter). Due to the volume, shipping generally takes a week to complete.

6. How much do you charge for shipping? Do you charge sales tax? Is postal insurance available?

FOR US CUSTOMERS: We ship all of our domestic packages via Ground Advantage and USPS Priority mail. We charge a flat shipping fee of $8.99 to all US addresses (with the exception of NV residents; see below), regardless of the weight of the package or the destination. All Add-on Kits and Items ship FREE when shipped out with our monthly Flavors of the Month Kit! We are required by law to collect 8.15% sales tax on all items being shipped to a Nevada address. (Shipping to Nevada addresses will be $6.99 instead of $8.99 to help offset the cost of the sales tax.) We will not be responsible for packages that are lost or damaged by the USPS. Postal Insurance is available at the actual cost upon request.

US PREPAID Memberships: will be charged $8.99/month for shipping at the time the membership is purchased. All Add-on Kits and Items ship FREE when shipped out with our monthly Flavors of the Month Kit! (Prepaid memberships are not available for international customers, as the price of postage fluctuates based on weight and destination.)

FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: International customers pay actual USPS shipping costs for first-class international postage, so the cost of shipping is determined by the weight of the package. Your card will be charged after the actual shipping cost has been determined each month and will be added to your order total. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged kits shipped internationally. (Insurance is available at the actual cost upon request.) In addition, customs charges and fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

7. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship to some countries*. International customers pay actual USPS shipping costs for first-class international postage, so the cost of shipping is determined by the weight of the package and the destination. (CONTACT US FOR ESTIMATE.) Your card will be charged after the actual shipping cost has been determined each month and WILL BE added to your order total before shipping. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged kits shipped internationally. (Insurance is available at the actual cost upon request.) In addition, customs charge, fees or additional taxes are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. *Due to the new VAT laws, we will not be able to ship to Europe at this time.

8. I don’t have/use a credit card. Is there another form of payment I can use to purchase a kit?

Sure! We accept PayPal payments for 3-month and 6-month Prepaid Memberships only. We do not accept personal checks at this time. Use our secure form for details.

9. Where do I find ideas for using my monthly layout kits?

Need ideas? Each month our customers will receive exclusive access to four Recipe Cards, complete with a full-color photo and step-by-step instructions for completing two 12x12 scrapbook pages with each of the four layout kits. Our Recipe Cards are designed to be printed out and slipped in with your layout kits when you receive them. With The ScrapRoom’s “Flavors of the Month” Kit, you’ll enjoy the scrapbooking products that you crave, along with ideas and instructions to help you “get more pages done…” These Recipe Cards will be available to our Café Club Members and one-time purchasers on the RECIPE CARDS/CUTFILE page of our website by the 11th of the month. The password to access the Recipe Card downloads will appear in the newsletter that is packaged together with the monthly kit. You will also find additional scrapbook page layout ideas as well as card and various other project ideas using the monthly kit in our online “Ideas” Gallery.

10. I’d like to add items from your TSR Store to my monthly kit shipment. How do I do this?

If you see something in the TSR STORE that you would like to add to your monthly kit shipment, just contact us by the 3rd of the month with your order. We will add these items to your kit shipment. Your credit card will be charged only once, and all of your items will ship out together with the monthly kit so you won't be charged any additional shipping charges. If you are purchasing only items from the TSR Store and your order does not include any of our monthly kits, the US shipping cost is $8.99 per shipment and your items will ship out within 2 business days. (Actual shipping costs for international shipments.) You can contact us with any additional orders by using our secure form.

11. How do I “skip” a monthly shipment?

We understand that our Café Club members may not want to receive every monthly shipment due to personal tastes and financial considerations. At The ScrapRoom, this is not a problem. You can skip any given month by contacting us by the 3rd of the month with your request to skip that month’s shipment. You can contact us via email at admin@scrap-room.com or by using our secure form. We will respond to each skip request by 11:59 p.m. PST (Pacific Standard Time) on the 3rd, so if you do not get an email response from us within 24 hours, please assume that we did not get your skip request and send it again. While club members are free to skip any shipment that you do not wish to receive, during the month following a month that you have skipped, we cannot guarantee that we will have a kit available for you. This is a rare instance, but because we order for our kits several months in advance and cannot predict with 100% accuracy how many club members will skip during any given month, an occasional shortage is a possibility. If a shortage does occur, members who skipped during the previous month will be placed on a priority waiting list for the kit in question ahead of non-members.

12. What is your return policy?

Because of our generous skipping policy, we do not accept returns after credit cards have been processed on the 4th of the month.

13. I need to cancel my membership. How can I do this?

If you decide you need to cancel your membership for any reason, you must contact us via email at admin@scrap-room.com or by using our secure form or call us at (714) 809-4287 by the 3rd of the month. Membership cancellations that are received after the 3rd will be processed for the following month.

14. What are your Terms and Conditions of membership?

Credit cards will be charged on the 4th of the month unless we receive an e-mail from you by 11:59 p.m. on the 3rd stating that you'd like to "skip" that particular month's shipment. There is no minimum number of kits to purchase, but membership will continue indefinitely until you e-mail us that you would like to cancel. All cancellations received after the 3rd of the month will take effect the following month. Prepaid memberships will automatically convert to month-to-month membership at the end of their prepaid term. If you do not wish to continue your Café Club membership on a month-to-month basis, you can e-mail us at any time during your prepaid term to let us know.

15. When will your website be updated with the new month's kits?

The website will be updated on the first day of each month with the new "Flavor of the Month" kit, specials and gallery images. You may have to hit the "refresh" button on your browser or the F5 key to refresh to see the latest version of our site.

16. How do I make the coffee in the free coffee sampler?

The sampler of gourmet flavored coffee that is included with the monthly kits needs to be brewed in your coffee pot with 1-2 cups of water, or in a single-service coffee maker (i.e. Keuriq machine). It is not instant coffee. All samples are caffeinated coffee.
